I wish to thank all the voters of District 9 for their support to re-elect me to continue my work on the Winnebago County Board. November 4, 2008 was bitter sweet but locally, we won and I am proud to serve a 4 year term representing all the taxpayers of Winnebago County, not just my district.

I am a life-long resident of
Winnebago
County. My family has a history in this wonderful county of well over 100 years. My wife, Deb, and I have been married for 34 years, and we have two beautiful daughters. Heather is married to Jim Marrie; they blessed us with Zach, 5 ½, and Ashlyn, 3.
Tracy is married to Shane Hoffman; they blessed us with Mason, 5.
I am seeking a seat on the Winnebago County Board to help make a difference, following in the steps of Patti Thayer, whom I admire greatly and am honored to call my friend. I know I will have a hard time filling her shoes, but with help of my colleagues, I can and will succeed. I have the energy and enthusiasm to do the job with diligence.
I retired in 2003 from Hamilton Sundstrand at the age of 51 after 30 years of service. I was the owner/operator of Regal Golf in Rockford from 1986 to 1996 where at that time I was the only Class "A" certified golf club repairman and custom club builder in the local area. In 2002 I began training for a career as a Realtor with Dickerson and Nieman Realtors and now I am with Gambino Realtors.
I was appointed to the Winnebago County Housing Authority Board of Commissioners in March of 2001, and in September of that same year, I was elected Chairman of the Board, a position I still proudly hold today. In my years as Chairman of the WCHA, I have seen many changes in our community thanks to a federal grant from HUD that made it possible to change the look of the Champion Park and Washington Park areas. We saw the demolition of dilapidated homes to make way for brand new homes so people can get a fresh start in life.
I am an avid golfer and I enjoy fishing, bowling and of course the beloved Chicago Bears.
